Family Healthcare Clinic

Started on the 2nd Floor in 2005, our Clinic was established to provide an accessible, affordable alternative to the Emergency Department for minor illnesses such as headaches, sore throats, fevers, flu and so on. Walk-in patients were also seen along with patients desiring appointments. Dr. Gemilo Resaba, M.D., Board Certified Internal Medicine physician, is both the overall Medical Director for this Rural Health Clinic as well as Medical Director for the 2nd Floor location. Working with Dr. Resaba is Ms. Rose Grunert, FNP-BC, a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Over the years, the number of patients availing themselves of this has grown dramatically requiring the expansion in 2010 of the Clinic to a second location on the 3rd Floor inside the hospital. With the expansion to the 3rd Floor along with more floor space, this location became the designated location for the walk-in patients and the Emergency Department patients referred to our Clinic as well as those who made appointments.

With this expansion, additional providers were also recruited for the Clinic. Dr. J. David Hartman, M.D., Board Certified in Family Practice, and Certified in Age Management Medicine, is the Medical Director for the 3rd Floor location. Workings with him are Ms. Angela Henson, PA-C, a board certified Physician Assistant, and Ms. Terri Braddock, FNP-BC, a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Filling in and assisting from time to time are Dr. Aisha Gargom, M.D. and Ms. Stacy Gardner, FNP-BC, both from our West Frankfort Clinic and Dr. Neil Sharma, M.D., currently doing a year Fellowship in Gerontology at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

Hours of Operation

The hours for our Family Healthcare Clinic are as follows: 2nd Floor: Monday thru Friday, 9:00AM – 4:30PM. Appointments and Walk-in are welcomed. 3rd Floor: Monday thru Friday, 9:00AM until 8:00PM; Saturday, 9:00AM until 7:00PM and Sunday, 11:00AM until 6:00PM. Appointments, Walk-ins and referrals from our Emergency Department are welcomed.
