Description of Position
Franklin Hospital is seeking applicants for a full-time Network Administrator. Position is responsible for working with IT staff in daily administration, monitoring, configuration, and backup of hospital infrastructure and networking equipment. Position will also perform client support tasks, and other IT duties as assigned. Regular hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional schedule adjustments as needed. Position also requires alternating weeks on call. Bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Position requires minimum of Associate degree in relevant technical field, 2 years’ experience in IT or a related field, and strong attention to detail and accuracy. Additionally, candidates must possess basic understanding of route/switch principals, firewall technology and perimeter defense, intrusion prevention and detection, Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware), and storage technologies. Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills are also essential. Previous IT experience in a healthcare setting and professional certifications (Network+, CCNA, CCNP, etc.) preferred, but not required.
